Gag Me With A Toothbrush

Have you ever been brushing your teeth, and go to brush your tongue, and gag a little? It used to happen to me occasionally. But now, it happens everytime I go to brush my tongue! It's not like I stick the toothbrush down my throat either. But, as soon as I touch the tip of my tongue with that damn toothbrush, I'm gagging. It's awful! I feel like my breath is going to stink because I can't get a good tongue brushing/scraping. GR!

On another note, my family and I went to see Narnia last night...the midnight showing. I love going to midnight shows. :) Beforehand, we went to a restaurant and had some food. I just had some appetizers, which were absolutely delicious, but quite filling. We had some cookies for dessert, and I treated myself. I had half a cup of coffee! Mmmmm, it was absolutely delicious. I miss having my coffee every morning so much. The doctor said that you're typically allowed to have a cup of coffee everyday, because it's not enough caffeine to really do any harm. But, the way i figure, is that if I can deal without the coffee, there's no reason to do something that could potentially cause harm, even if I stay within the safe amount. I say, it's better safe than sorry. Plus, it's a nice treat and something to look forward to, when I only have it on occasion. Know what I mean?

So, we didn't get home until about 3:30 this morning, and I was pretty tired. I had such a good nights sleep...I haven't slept that well in a while. I barely woke up through the night, which is very unusual for me since I got pregnant. Even though I get so tired throughout the day, I wake up so much throughout the night and have some trouble getting back to sleep. It kind of sucks. And I can't take any sleep medicine, which sucks even more, because I love Tylenol PM when I have issues sleeping. I guess that'll just have to be something else I look forward to once this is over.

Recap!

It's been a little over a week since I've updated. I've been busy......and tired!

It was really cute, because on Mother's Day, my husband, my sister, and my best friend each gave me a card. I didn't expect that, but it was nice. :)

We've been doing home projects lately. Trying to get as much stuff done before the baby comes in November. I'm hoping we can get the things we want done, so we won't have to worry about anything else.

Mostly all of my nausea has gone away. I've just been getting VERY tired in the early evenings. It stinks, because as soon as my husband gets home, and I want to tackle the home projects, I'm so tired that I don't want to do anything. So, he's stuck doing practically everything. I know he doesn't mind, but I wish I could contribute more.

We've been eating at home a lot more too. There was about 3-4 weeks where we were eating out every night. It just wasn't very healthy, and it definitely wasn't a good idea for our budget. I'm glad we got over that. I've been trying to eat a lot better, and I think I'm doing better.

So, officially, in about 1 1/2 weeks, I will be into my second trimester. I'm pretty excited. So far, I've only gained about 1 lb., but I know it'll all start coming within the next month or so. But, hopefully my better eating habits will help me only gain the weight I'm supposed to, and not a whole bunch extra.......assuming I'm still nausea free! So, I guess we'll see how it all goes.

Good Times

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated out 1 year anniversary. It was awesome! We had a wonderful day, and it was extra nice for me. It was the first day in about 3 weeks that I haven't taken a nap in the afternoon. Granted, during our activities, I got really tired, but I powered through. And I'll tell ya, I slept so well last night! It was nice being up for the whole day and actually enjoying the nice weather. :)

I've been feeling better, but being tired all the time is starting to wear me down. I'd take that over being sick though, so I shouldnt' complain. It's just amazing how tired pregnancy makes you...especially so early on.

I've been eating out a lot. I haven't been eating that great. I'm going to start eating a little better. Guess I should go to the store and stock up on some good food.

Feelin Good!

Suddenly, I'm feeling like my normal self. I don't feel sick, I'm not tired, and I'm actually getting things done. It's so weird how things can flip so quickly. I guess I shouldn't be talking about how great I feel. Everyone knows that once you do that, it's all downhill.

For your entertainment, I'll tell you about a dream I had. I was pregnant, and I was at the doctors office for an appointment. I was given the option of having a normal baby or a cat baby. Somewhere in my mind, I thought a cat baby would be awesome, so I opted for that. I was suddenly giving birth, and there it was...a black cat. It looked just like my cat, Josephine.

Time elapsed, and my cat baby was going to school, walking upright, and talking. The classroom was full of normal kids, plus my cat baby. It was the strangest thing.

I guess all throughout pregnancy you have strange dreams. I'd like someone to interpret that one!
